My Educational Journey
I started my career with a home computer and no technology at work save a Xerox machine and an overhead projector. I knew I loved learning and teaching, and I knew that at every turn I would have to keep learning in order to keep teaching well.
After all of my years in education, my journey has brought me to this:
Educational pedagogy has shifted to something no longer recognizable to people who were in school before the year 2000.
Schools and classrooms have changed and are no longer recognizable to people who were in school before the year 2000.
My educational philosophy has changed and is no longer recognizable to students who had me as a teacher before the year 2000.
And I am glad of it. My journey has taken me into the realm of Growth Mindset, Gradeless Evaluation, & Embracing Technology.
